why: keep em off the street with music. God knows we don't need more kindergarteners smoking pots.

VOTW - April 9, 2010
who: Freelance Whales
why: are the shit. I was really pumped when I heard they made a video for this song ("Generator ^ 2nd Floor"). It's one of the best singles I've heard in a long time - definitely my choice for last year's song of the year (maybe tied with Manchester Orchestra's "I Can Feel a Hot One")... but either way check out the new vid.
WE'LL DO IT ACOUSTIC!
Suck it Dex, this is a pretty solid live version.

Watch Out - Letting Up
who: Letting Up Despite Great Faults
why: because I'm digging the whole shoegaze, electrically-buzzy genre lately and these guys do it best. This WAS going to be tomorrow's video of the week, but it got replaced... which means you're in for a treat tomorrow. With that said, this video is adorable.

LMAO! - Auto-Tune the News #11
why: because it's the best thing Joel Madden (Good Charlotte) has ever done.
WE'LL DO IT ACOUSTIC! - The Temper Trap
who: The Temper Trap
why: perform their song "Sweet Disposition" (aka "the song from 500 Days of Summer") down in Texas on a break from SXSW.
Bundle Up - Manchester Orchestra
who: Manchester Orchestra
why: had two songs remixed for an Alternative Press feature. Check em out below as P.O.S. adds some flavor to "Shake It Out" and Simon Illa speeds up "Tony the Tiger"
Watch Out - The Devil Wears Prada
who: The Devil Wears Prada
why: have released a video for one of my favorite song titles of all time - "Assistant to the Regional Manager" off of their 2009 release 'With Roots Above and Branches Below'. This video reminds me a lot of Converge's recent video for "Axe to Fall" except a lot less creepy.
